My Reasons on Why I Started Blogging

My name is Richard Cohen. I live on the small renowned island of warm sunshine, beautiful beaches, sexy women, rich vegetation and world class athletes including the legendary Usain “Lightning” Bolt; called Jamaica. This blog was created because my facebook posts were getting too long and I needed to continue recording and sharing my opinion and views to empower others. My friends have said that I have something to share and I should not keep it to myself.

I am a novice writer(clearly) and  an aspiring speaker. It is my intention to share my small wealth of wisdom with the world and to increase my knowledge base as I partner with brighter persons on the internet who are also touching lives. Publishing my expressions on a blog is also a challenge for me to get out of my box, expand my comfort zone and limits. This is the tool I believe I can use to help others, to touch & impact lives for the better, stimulate minds and create an impacting change.

I love reading. The first book I started reading which got my on this path was Robert Kiyosaki’s  ook entitled “Cashflow Quadrant”. It was a borrowed book which I didnt finish but I grasped the concept. The information given I’ve never encountered before and the lessons got me thinking; hungry for more similar literature.  I have been following his publications ever since. Not saying I’ve read all his books but I’m familiar with them. This journey has introduced me to many other authors, speakers and preachers such as Zig Ziglar, Jim Rohn, Earl Nightingale,Les Brown, Tony Robbins, TD Jakes, Myles Munroe and many others. My cellphone is filled with audiotapes from all the previously listed and I have one or more books in my library from each either in paperback or digital format.
Its not easy finding persons in my immediate circle to discuss certain ideas and philosophies taught by these mentors. This blog is my outlet. It is were I would likd to have my “round-table” talks.
